This was our campsite for a couple of weeks in Yuma, AZ at the Cocopa Casino parking lot.

As you can see I never get tired of these Arizona Sunsets!!!

This was a different looking aircraft.
It flew over several times like this, then later the propellers changed positions and it flew like and airplane!

This is an interesting motorcar. Several old time vehicles drove into the parking lot at the Quartermaster Depot Center in Yuma for the afternoon concert in the park.

The Brass band playing in the park on Super Bowl Sunday, before the football game of course!!

Our Campsite at Ajo, AZ.

Our friends, Dick and Sue, from Ft Collins, outside of Ajo. This is a very large and old Saquaro cactus, probably in the 3 to 400 year old range.

A nice view of the Sonoran desert with all the Saquaro cactus.

Great Organ Pipe Cactus!!

Marine Jet going in for a Landing at the Marine Air Base north of us here in Yuma, AZ. We are right along the flight path so we get a lot of noise from the jets.

Another great sunset in AZ.

Cars leaving Mexico heading into the US.The line extends for blocks and is several lanes wide.
Some of the locals picking the fields of crops. We read that over 90% of the winter lettuce sold in the USA comes from the Yuma, AZ area.

I dont know what happend here but it doesnt look good. This was in the parking lot at the entrance to Mexico. It looks like the SUV jumped the concrete curb and bashed into the side of the car sitting there.

This is our camping spot at the Casino in Yuma.

Looking towards the casino entrance.

Here are some pictures from Dee's birthday party in Apache Junction. The award certificates she is handing out are to the paramedics and firemen that helped save her life in December when she suffered from Sudden Cardic Arrest. She is progressing very well and we hope that she gets well soon.

We had music around the campfire last night with several people playing a variety of instruments and others singing.

Sylvia, the host for the Rally, is playing the accordian, she is very good.

Another fantastic sunset, These Arizona sunsets are just unbelievable some nights!!!

Getting ready for another night around the campfire, The stars out here really stand out as there is no light from large cities close by. Reminds me of when I was growing up in Nebraska and camping.

Our campsite at Joshua Tree National ParkSunsets at Quartzsite are fabulous!!!Another one the next night!!!These are images from ontop of a hill just outside of Quartzsite, you can see all the Rvers scattered all over the desert! Most of the Rvers dont even show up till Saturday, then over the next few weeks there will probably be close to 1,000,000 people go thru here and a high percentage of them stay for a few days, some for weeks and months. The last pic has a red arrow showing our rig, can you see it out there? We are camped about 5 miles north of town. We will climb the hill again this weekend sometime and take more pictures when the area is almost full so you can see the difference.
The Change from Wednesday to Thursday in the amount of traffic was really something. I better over 50 rigs went by our site alone to go camping further out in the desert. We are right along the road, about 100 yards off.

Gals and Eli doing a skit at our fire one night. It was them acting out a nursery rhyme called Chicken that wouldnt lay an egg!! It was fun to watch!!
we also had to guess at several other nursery rhymes and of course we all got them correct the first time!!!
